I get it; home renovation can be intimidating, especially if you're unfamiliar with the lingo or don't have any prior experience. That’s the whole reason I started Gut Reno Girl! If you're someone who's interested in leading a home renovation project but doesn't know where to start, you found the right place.
We're all about demystifying both the big and small jobs in the big, bad intimidating construction industry and showing you that (seriously) you can manage all of them. Gut Reno Girl is all about cutting through the fear and the noise and getting straight to the point. We don't shy away from the nitty-gritty of a project, and no questions are bad questions. I’m not stroking anybody’s egos or mincing any words here. You don’t need to be a genius to understand construction work. So there's no reason why intelligent women like us can't crush it; we just need to learn how to play the game a little bit. So I’m here to peel that curtain back just a little bit and make you the smartest person on the job site.
When we post updates, we keep them quick and informative because we respect your time — I don’t have a lot of it, and I’m sure you don’t either. Our goal is to keep things accurate, efficient, and fun so you know exactly what you need to do to get things done. But that you aren’t stressed about it.

I’m here to share all the knowledge I’ve gained as a designer and as a project lead — and to make it accessible to everyone. My handy husband, Anthony, is always by my side on these projects. Together we completely renovated an 1899 colonial and a beach bungalow, and now we’re tackling what I now lovingly call my “money pit farmhouse” that’s trying to be euro-cute. You might see my dogs too, and my beautiful baby Mila, too.
